In March, Gusti Yehoshua Braverman, Co-Chair of the department for Diaspora activities at the World Zionist Organization (WZO) and former Associate Director of the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism (IMPJ), went on a work trip to the United States to lay out the 5773 activities of the WZO’s department for Diaspora activities in North America.

Following last year’s visit, Gusti decided to transfer the department’s offices to San Francisco due to growing anti-Israel sentiment on leading US universities on the West Coast. Also, the fourth largest Israeli population is located on the west Coast. Gusti reports that the move has proved to be a success so far.

Condemning terror in France
After the horrific anti-Semitic attack on a Jewish School in Toulouse, France, also in March, Gusti strongly condemned the attack and reaffirmed WZO’s solidarity with the Jewish community in France.
